El Mexicano in Nuremberg

The cocktails !! And the food and the atmosphere! Just great!!!

We've probably already eaten a good 10 times here and the quality is excellent (and above all: consistently the same). The service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. The only thing that could be changed: Play Mexican music instead of the radio. That would be great 😉

The best Mexican! Fresh and good quality food. Make a reservation in advance. Bad parking situation, but underground (U2 Rennweg) right in front of the door. Tip: The dishes with pork loin can also be changed to beef loin for a small surcharge. And the "Hot Mango" for dessert - heavenly. At the end, the boss will serve either a tequila or tequila liqueur (!!!).

A nice restaurant with a great kitchen. The waitresses were all very friendly, brisk and helpful. The food was prepared quickly but freshly in the kitchen. The portions were, in our opinion, quite large, so that we all left the restaurant satisfied and full of sticks (after drinking a schnapps on the house). If I had been allowed to have a say in the spiciness of the individual dishes, it could have been a bit spicier for me, I would have given 5 stars. If I'm back in Nuremberg, I would love to go back anytime :-)).

The service was not very friendly and the food wasn't worth the money either. It's by no means authentic Mexican cuisine, if at all Texmex. Everything looked kind of the same, and only 3 vegetarian main courses on the whole menu. It didn't convince us in terms of taste.

For two we were able to get a place without a reservation despite Corona conditions (during the week!) Service very friendly, food really good. Ambience tasteful in front of all the lights. I would only end up getting these eye-catchers more often.

We have been going there for about 20 years and have always been super satisfied, whether it's the food or the staff. The ambience is also very great.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. The place is nice, the people are friendly and the food is well presented but it doesn't taste like Mexican food. It looks like Mexican food but it tastes like standard German food.

We went there mostly due to their vegetarian/vegan options. To this matter, the food was delicious and I was even surprised in a good way. However, the entrances (here talking about the quesadillas) were too greasy and could clearly see it was just done in a bad way. Service was the reason why I gave 2 starts. We waited in the table for 10 minutes until I decided to stand up and look for the menus by myself (she saw us but for some reason just ignored our presence), not telling that took ages until we could finally order and still food came before the drinks. In general, they were not so friendly. That's very sad cause I enjoyed the food but I'm having second thoughts about coming back after this experience.

A fantastic restaurant that offers everything Mexican cuisine has to offer. The dishes are very nicely presented and the price is very reasonable. It's all very tasty and I wasn't disappointed by the spiciness, which is exactly how I imagined it. The service was very friendly and courteous, all in all a grade 1+ we will definitely come back on our next stay in Nuremberg.

👍My favorite Mexican in Nuremberg. The service was very nice. The guacamole, the filled burritos and dessert (hot mango) everything was perfect. The portion of the main course was quite good. You just feel good here. The underground station (Rennweg) is right in front of the restaurant. So if you want to leave the car at home, you can use public transport directly. But even with the car you can find an empty parking lot in the area very quickly. I'll be back 🤤

Now after the second visit to El Mexicano, the negative entries here cannot be traced at all. The team from El Mexicano is super nice, the service is very good, the waitresses are super-loving and there is nothing wrong with having fun here !! The ambience is appropriately and pleasantly designed with the bridge, the fountain and the super Mexico decoration. The food is absolutely top notch, the salsa is a must-taste. We cannot confirm the lukewarm meal, our meal came hot and fast !! The steak in the different variations is a dream grilled to the point and super tender. The portions are great and special requests are not a problem, we will definitely be back. !!!! Absolutely top restaurant .. (I recommend the people who complain to work on their manners and rethink their perspectives on other people ..... How to shout in the forest ... so the echo always comes back .. !!! )

The food tastes delicious. Never gave anything to complain about. The staff is mostly friendly, sometimes they seem a bit overwhelmed. But there is always a lot going on. All in all: recommendation!

Unfortunately only possible for two with reservation. Since I am with my pregnant wife (9 months) and then we were passed twice in the door, first by guests who were coming and then on the phone, until after about 5 minutes we heard that there were no more tables available. I didn't like that. That's why only one star.

I didn't have high hopes going in since most Mexican food is terrible in Germany, but it was amazing best enchiladas ever. So good I wanted to lick the plate.

Great for the kids. Gets busy at weekends, very reasonable menu.

The food is good but overpriced, it's actually the menu hs a lot of orthography mistakes in the things that they claim to be Spanish, and most important as a Mexican I literally didn't see any authentic Mexican food which was really disappointing. It would probably be a 4 stars rate if they didn't clame to be Mexican and say that is Texmex food more Tex than mex tbh, not really worth going again.

Very good Mexican style food in Nürnberg

This is not Mexican food. It presents well but the taste is not authentic. Large portions and friendly service though. Parking is non existent.

We went there because our first choice in Nuremberg - La Lucha was unfortunately closed. El Mexicano is conveniently located next to a metro station (Rennweg), which helps get some traffic in the restaurant because it is about a 25 minute walk from the city center (Old Town). The inside of the restaurant is super cute and looks like a small Mexican village. They also have an outside area to sit at. However they do not have English menus. My husband ordered a dish with grilled pieces of chicken with roast potatoes and guacamole. I have ordered a fajita dish. Loving Mexican cuisine I was astounded when I received my "fajita" dish and it was a burrito 🙈 the burrito itself was halfway cold and only filled with iceberg lettuce, corn and kidney beans. The salsa on top was not homemade (you could taste it right away), the oven potato it came with was good though. The server picked up our plates and noticed that mine was hardly touched by me. I told her that I was surprised to find a burrito instead of my ordered fajita on my plate. She must have heard that complaint before because she smiled and said that their interpretation of Mexican dishes is different 😂 they were nice enough to take my order off the bill though. We would not get out of our way to go there again.

I ordered a quesadilla. I thought it would be made with flour tortillas, like it says in the menu. But I was given pie crust wedges with cheese inside. I thought I had the wrong order and the lady I spoke to told me they do not provide flour tortilla quesadillas. If you don't provide this, then don't have it on the menu!

Nice restaurant with good food. The chilly con carne tasted like one that I had in Mexico and was spicy enough to be enjoyable. The atmosphere was also very nice and I didn't leave smelling like mexican food, which is a surprise in German restaurants that are so well isolated. The service was also very good and welcoming. I'd definitely would visit the restaurant again! But make sure you make a reservation first.

Very nice place and food was great. Quesadilla is not a meal, its an appetizer. Keep that in mind.

very wide variety of choosing the mexican food but by to many orders.. my chicken was not grilled well..maybe only mistake by so many orders, taste of other things good

Horrible, very disappointing. By far not mexican food at all. It took them 50 minutes time to serve the food, the quesadillas are fried empanadas and the guacamole is white ( no green anywhere). The meat was frozen and re- heated so that it was melting water..

Nice menu... Bit overpriced... Didn't like the baked potato as a side dish in every dish

Good Tex-Mex cuisine. Good atmosphere. Good place to sit outside. Missing some typical Mexican dishes.
